The History of 118 Inc.

Founded in 1998, 118 Inc. began its journey as a social club located in Kennesaw, Georgia, just off exit 118 on Wade Green Road. The company was established by a group of ambitious young Black entrepreneurs, eager to make their mark in the world of business. With a relentless drive to succeed, the two founders were determined to explore various entrepreneurial opportunities.

118 Inc. initially focused on organizing local events, hosting club promotions, and engaging in marketing activities throughout downtown Atlanta. Building on this early success, the company ventured into the music industry, where it quickly adapted to the fast-paced demands of the business. However, this endeavor was short-lived as one of the founders, leveraging a strong background in Social Services, identified a greater opportunity to make a lasting impact.

Pivoting to the human services sector, 118 Inc. rapidly became a leader in its market by establishing and operating visitation centers and mental health facilities across the nation. The company’s commitment to excellence and innovation allowed it to expand its influence in the foster care and mental health fields, serving communities in need with compassion and professionalism.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, as the world began to reopen, 118 Inc. diversified its focus to include new areas of business. This expansion led to the creation of initiatives such as Wellness 8,  Care Connect, Felon Connect, and a foray into the trucking industry. Each of these ventures reflects the company’s dedication to serving underrepresented and underserved populations, with the overarching goal of helping the community achieve its aspirations through innovative and effective business practices.
